Two retreats at Christ the King Parish

Last weekend (9 & 10 December 2017) was abuzz with two retreats for the youth and “Amadodakazi aka Annah Ocwebileyo”. The key note address for the youth retreat was Mr. Mabuza, assistant station commander. He emphasized that as young people they must not behave in a wayward conduct especially during the festive season. They must keep away from drugs and avoid visits to relatives because relatives  have become hyenas and perpetrators of sexual abuse.

On another note Amadodakazi aka Annah Ocwebileyo were launching the Shiselweni branch since the organization has now members from the Sacred Heart, Christ the King and Our Lady of Sorrows Parishes. The Amadodakazi aka Annah Ocwebileyo were fully supported by the Diocese  Executive of the St. Ann’se. The representative of the Sodality Mrs. Thandie Zwane assured their support for Amadodakazi aka Annah Ocwebileyo. She mentioned that it their constitution that obligates them to take care of girls who have had children before marriage.

The patron of Amadodakazi aka Annah Ocwebileyo Mrs. Sakhile Mabilisa highlighted the difficulties encountered when they established this organization having been blessed by the late Bishop Ncamiso Ndlovu OSM. Through faith and determination Amadodakazi aka Annah Ocwebileyo are now established and are vibrant. Christ the King feels proud that it hosts national and international church meetings and conferences. Izwi elaba yinyama! Elahlala phakatsi kwetfu!

The president of Amadodakazi aka Annah Ocwebileyo Delsile Mhlongo thanked their patrons, the St. Anne Sodality, the St. Joseph Sodality and the Christ the King Parish for the unending support they always demonstrate to the organization. She encouraged members to recruit more into the fold. As the retreat was characterized by talks by Fr. Magagula and Sister Catherine Mashinini, prayer and celebration of Mass, the president thanked the presenters and sponsors of the retreat.
